Abstract

A B S T R A C T
The current research was conducted with the aim of prediction self-perceived employability based on career identity, psychological career resources and career proactivity behaviors in university graduates.
The current research was of a descriptive-correlation type. The research population included all the unemployed university graduates who were looking for work and had referred to the employment centers of Isfahan province during the years 2021 to 2023. From this community, a sample of 163 people was selected using the available method. In order to collect data from demographic characteristics questionnaires, Self-Perceived Employability Scale, Career Identity Questionnaire, Psychological Career Resources Inventory and Career Proactive Behaviors Scale have been used. The data were analyzed with the methods of descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariate regression analysis) using SPSS statistical software.
The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between career identity, career psychological resources and career proactivity behaviors with self-perceived employability. In total, career identity variables, career psychological resources and career proactivity behaviors explain 26% of the variance of self-perceived employability as a criterion.
Considering the importance of employability of graduates of universities and higher education centers, it is necessary to identify the components that are the basis for empowering people in cognitive, emotional and behavioral dimensions in the field of employability.
