Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the role of Islamic lifestyle in predicting procrastination and job stress among nurses in Qaen city. The present research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included all nurses in Qaen city, from whom 150 people were selected using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected using questionnaires of the Kaviani Islamic Lifestyle (2009), Tuckman Procrastination (1991), and HSE Job Stress (1990). Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data using Spss23 software. The results of the linear regression test in nurses showed that the Islamic lifestyle has a role in procrastination (β= -0/338, sig= 0/001). The results of the linear regression test also showed that the Islamic lifestyle has a role in job stress (β= -0/299, sig= 0/003). Given that nurses' mental health and reduced job stress are related to the quality of their performance in caring for patients, if nurses have an Islamic lifestyle, the work environment may be less stressful for them and ensuring their own and their patients' mental health.
