Abstract
Rotational employees, due to long-term separation from family, compressed work shifts, and living in remote camps, face chronic stress, social isolation, job burnout, and work–family conflict; conditions that make their resilience a critical issue for project-based organizations. The main aim of this study was to structurally model the role of resilience in predicting social competence and general self-efficacy among rotational and non-rotational employees in the Narokangan (Nar-o-Kangan) operational area. In terms of purpose, the research was applied, and in terms of data collection, it was descriptive-survey. The statistical population consisted of 1,420 people, and the statistical sample included 368 employees working in the Narokangan operational area in 1405 (Persian calendar). The main data collection instruments were the standard Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (2003), the Sherer and Maddux General Self-Efficacy Scale (1982), and the Parandin/Fellner Social Competence Questionnaire (1990). Data analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 2 software. The findings indicated that resilience among rotational and non-rotational employees was at an appropriate level, and employees’ resilience affected general self-efficacy and social competence (p < 0.01). Finally, general self-efficacy affected employees’ social competence (p < 0.01).
