Abstract

This study aimed to Explain the predictive power of flourishing based on the self-efficacy and cultural intelligence of nurses at Shiraz City Hospitals. The statistical population of this research included nurses working in hospitals in Shiraz, and among them, 350 nurses working in six hospitals in Shiraz were selected using the available sampling method. The research tools included the existential crystallization scale (Diener et al. 2010), general self-efficacy questionnaire (Bandura, 1992), and cultural intelligence questionnaire (Early and Ang, 2004) which were completed by nurses. To investigate the research questions, the statistical methods of Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used simultaneously. The results showed that metacognitive and motivational dimensions of cultural intelligence and self-efficacy are positive and significant predictors for existential crystallization. Therefore, if nurses acquire the necessary familiarity in the field of cultural intelligence and self-efficacy exercises, they will experience existential crystallization and in this way achieve a higher level of mental health, and as a result, they can provide better medical services to society.
